About Me

I received my JD from Northeastern University School of Law in 2005 and a
BA in English Literature and Women's Studies in 2000 from the University of
Pennsylvania. I have advocated on behalf of survivors of violence for over ten
years and bring to my work a commitment to advancing the legal and social
rights of women, people of color, and LGBT, immigrant, and other
marginalized communities through advocacy that is grounded in an
anti-oppression framework.

I am a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association, the Boston
Bar Association, the MLGBA, the Women's Bar Association, and the National
Lawyers Guild. I serve on the Board of Directors of MataHari: Eye of the Day,
sit on the Massachusetts GLBT Domestic Violence Coalition, and am
involved with The Network/La Red. I am  admitted to the Massachusetts Bar.
Prior to opening a private practice, I was a Staff Attorney at Greater Boston
Legal Services primarily working with immigrant survivors of domestic
violence to access relief under the Violence Against Women Act.
